ABOUT ME

My name is Hannah and I know personally how difficult and nerve-racking it can be to start or restart a therapeutic journey.

My own mental health issues started when I was a teenager. I didn’t like myself, I was very anxious and just didn’t feel like I belonged anywhere. I had counselling then which in all honesty papered over my issues but allowed me to function.

Through my twenties, I just felt lost, my anxiety constantly there, I had (and still have) a great support system but I didn’t have my own self-worth and love. Something had to change for me, I couldn’t live in this state anymore. The first step was a career change, I trained alongside my full-time job to be a counsellor. I’d always wanted to help people and I felt like the right fit for with my ethics and beliefs in people. Through this training I found my counsellor who created a space for me to be vulnerable and honest about my relationship with myself. I gained hope, self-compassion and a kindness I’d never felt before and I hope that I can bring that to my clients.

In my practice, I embrace a person-centred approach, recognising that each individual is unique and their experiences are valid. Together, as client and counsellor, we embark on a collaborative journey to facilitate change, with a foundation built on non-judgment and empathy.
